23 WEEKS

No papaya could be found after the Great Flood of 2015...
How far along: 23 weeks

Baby Size: the baby is the size of a papaya (8 inches and 1.2 pounds)

Weight gain: up .4 pounds from last week, up about 1.5 pounds overall

Maternity clothes: mostly

Stretch marks: nope

Sleep: pretty good

Best moment this week: NOT having our home flooded in the "1000 Year Flood" in Columbia - praise the Lord! Also learning that our baby girl has 46 normal chromosomes!! Answered prayers.

Looking forward to: (with hopefulness) - the remaining results of our amniocentesis (microarray)

What I miss: not much

Movement: often!

Food cravings: candy, baked goods

Anything making you queasy or sick: not really

Gender: GIRL!

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: emotionally exhausted. Physically I feel great.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: anxious with bouts of fear, but sometimes just happy and amazed that there is a little girl in there God has blessed us with

Nursery: we took a trip to the PB Kids outlet in Gaffney but didn't have any luck!

24 WEEKS

How far along: 23 weeks

Baby Size: the baby is the size of an ear of corn (8.5 inches and 1.5 pounds). At our appointment this week, Baby Girl was in 64th percentile for weight!

Weight gain: up 1.2 pounds from last week, up nearly 3 pounds overall

Maternity clothes: yep

Stretch marks: nope

Sleep: mostly good nights

Best moment this week: Seeing baby girl yet again on ANOTHER ultrasound. She's pretty cute!

Looking forward to: (with hopefulness) - the remaining results of our amniocentesis (microarray) and the results from our fetal MRI yesterday

What I miss: not much!

Movement: all the time! Feeling her getting stronger every day.

Food cravings: sweets

Anything making you queasy or sick: I had chicken breast for the first time this week since I was about 6 weeks pregnant. It wasn't terrible, but I don't know when I'll LOVE it again.

Gender: GIRL!

Labor Signs: nope

Symptoms: Alex and I continue to be emotionally exhausted from the unknowns about Baby Girl's health

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: impatient - I want to know what is going on with our girl!

Nursery: nothing in there yet!

Prayer for Baby: Dear Baby Girl, feeling you move and kick is one of life's greatest pleasures and gifts! It reminds me that you are growing every day, and for that we are grateful. I pray you grow stronger every single day, getting bigger as you should. As we await the results of some pretty important tests, we are anxious but strive not to be afraid for we know God has a big plan for your life! He knew exactly what he was doing when he created you. We love you so much, sweet one!
